Tours Of the Hall

All tours around the house are led by our team of expert guides who each have a unique understanding of the family and the history of the building and the wonderful contents.

The duration of our house tours are approximately 45 minutes and they run regularly during the afternoon. Please note that the last house tour departs no later than 4:30pm and the maximum number of people we can accommodate per tour is 18.

Pre-booked groups may be pre-allocated tours, but there will generally always be space for other visitors. Tours are allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

Please note that there are approximately 13 steps at the beginning of the tour and a similar number towards the end of the tour.

We welcome people with disabilities, but to enjoy house tours you must be able to walk up and down steps. Please telephone us before a visit so that we may give you full details of access, and ensure that your visit will be safe, comfortable and enjoyable.
