The Wild Garden

This area of the garden is in complete contrast to the formal gardens, and flanks on both sides a small brook. Fine acers and gunneras dominate once the spring exuberance has subsided. The wonderful Camassia Leichtlinii Caerulea provides a carpet of blue that leads to the Wendy House with its cottage garden plants outside.

As you meander through the gardens towards the Chinese Bridge, Primulas, Camassias, Daffodils, Anemones and species Tulips all combine like jewels on the bank on your left.  Returning along the opposite bank, there are fine trees such as a Cut Leaf Beech, Sycamores, a Catalpa and a young Quercus Bimondorum Crimschmidt.
